    PIERLUIGI COLONNA studied Guitar under E.Melli and P.Bonaguri, graduating from Bologna Conservatory, Harmony and Counterpoint under G.Cappelli, Choral Music, Choir Conducting and Composition under M. Perrucci graduating from Pesaro Conservatory, where he graduated also in Concert Band Instrumentation under L. Livi and in Orchestra Conducting under A.Tarchetti and P.Veneri.
    He improves in Italy and abroad in guitar with A. Company and A. Diaz, in Composition and Choir Conducting with F. Donatoni and M. Couraud, in Basso Continuo Technique with Jorge Fresno, in Lute with F. Marincola, T. Stone and H. Smith, in Orchestra Conducting with L. Ferrara, G. Dimitrov and P. Bellugi. guita
    Absolute winner of the IX International Competition "Città di Stresa" Award and of the II International Competition "Città di Tradate" Award with the ancient music group "Charivari Ensemble".
    Was awarded from EUR Spettacoli with the Expert of Music diploma and a scholarship for Orchestra Conducting from the Lions Club in Florence.He conducts a successful career with recital and concerts alone and with various chamber groups, for important organizations and festivals in the principal Italian cities and theatres and with tour in Greece, Romania, Ireland, Spain, Egypt, India, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru', Bulgaria, playing with RAI National Orchestra Symphonic in Turin, Bologna Community Theater Orchestra, ORT and making recordings for RAI TV and many foreign radio-television broadcasting stations. Helds MasterClasses in Italy, Spain and in Sudamerica.

    He has undertaken also a successful career in orchestra’s conducting in Italy and abroad with many orchestras among which the Pesaro Symphonic Orchestra, G.Spontini Chamber Orchestra, Florence Sinfonietta, Krasnoyark Chamber Orchestra, Plovdiv Philarmonic Orchestra.

    Was founder and artistic manager at Rimini of the ancient music festival "Borgo Musica Estate". He has contributed as performer, arranger and composer to many recordings and TV productions. Already teacher of Guitar and Elements of Composition in many conservatories, currently is professor of Elements of Composition at Parma Conservatory. Said about him:”…true musician: talent for expressive and logic interpretation, magnificent innate dispositions in the technical dominion ..” (A.Diaz); ”innate disposition...not common conducting dowries, believes that in the future he can offer an important contribution in the field of the symphonic interpretation...” (P.Bellugi).

    CONSERVATORIO “N. PICCINNI” DE BARI
    Nicola Ventrella, winner in many national and international piano competitions (special prize presented by the jury of the Royal Scottish International Competition), received, with top marks, a master degree in orchestra conducting from the Music Conservatory “Niccolò Piccinni” of Bari, where he studied under the guidance of prof. Rino Marrone.

    Later, he won a scholarship, and continued his professional studies with Aldo Ceccato, Markus Lethinen, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, and musicologists at the University of Bologna. From 2001 he start to study under the guidance of the legendary finnish pedagogue Jorma Panula in Helsinki.

    Nicola Ventrella is a musician with a strong pianist and composer background. He studied piano with Giuseppe Squitieri, Sergeij Dorensky, and Carlo Grante, composition with Riccardo Vaglini in Venice and orchestration for Stage and Film Music with Larry Blank (Los Angeles), taking with top marks his master degree in piano, composition, choral music, chorus conducting and orchestration.

    He has conducted operas and symphonic concerts and played in many cities (Glasgow, Salzburg, Montreal, Cleveland, Pisa, Treviso, Naples, Verona, Sanremo, Kuopio, Ruse, Taranto, St. Petersburg, Copenhagen, Madrid, etc.) and he has recorded 4 cd’s for “Ars Publica”, “Farelive”, and “D.A.D records” labels, and many radio broadcasting for Vaticanian Radio.

    After his concert at Stevenson Hall (Scotland), the Glasgow Herald wrote of him: “…Superb! The italian Nicola Ventrella is an extremely refined musician!”

    He has conducted various orchestras, such as: the Symphony Orchestra “Piccinni” in Bari, the Orchestra Sinfonica Lucana, the “Musica Renovata” orchestra in Naples (Opera debut), the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra, the “Saint George Academy” of Venice, the “Opus Archimagicum” Ensemble, the “Carlo Gesualdo” Symphony Orchestra, the “Ad Libitum” chamber orchestra in Verona, the Ruse National Philarmonic, the St. Petersburg Capella Orchestra, the Danish National Orchestra, the “I Pomeriggi Musicali” of Milan, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra (I.C.O.) and the “Magna Grecia” Symphony Orchestra in Taranto (I.C.O.), where he is currently principal guest conductor.

    In 2003 and 2008 he was selected to take part in the Prokofiev International Competition for orchestra conductors in Saint Petersburg (Russia).
    NICOLA VENTRELLA
    As composer and arranger/orchestrator he give his partnership to many worldwide famous artists, like: Katia Ricciarelli, Cecilia Gasdia, Andrea Bocelli, Ronald Stevenson, Elio Pandolfi, Pietro Ballo, Patrizia Cigna, Gabriella Costa, Lucio Dalla, and his music was played from many important orchestras, like: Belgrado Symphony Orchestra, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra (tournèe in the most important cities in USA and Canada), the Orchestra Sinfonica Regionale Sarda, the Collegium Musicum of Bari, the Lecce Symphony Orchestra, the San Marino Symphony Orchestra, the String Orchestra of Rome, the Symphony Orchestra of the Theatre “Marruccino” in Chieti, the Bari Symphony Orchestra, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Neaples Festival (Television Broadcasted Mediaset).

    Actually he is Professor at the Music Conservatory “Niccolò Piccinni” in Bari.

    erasmusUmberto Cafagna - Guitarist, he completed his studies , graduating with highest honors from the Conservatory "N. Piccinni " in Bari with P.Scarola .
    A graduate of the Royal College of Music in London with ARCM Performer Diploma - Guitar as a Performer. Degree in Chamber Music with a thesis on " Cyril Scott- Sonatina for Guitar" . She later studied with some great personalities of the guitar : Alirio Diaz , Oscar Ghiglia and Jose Tomas . He also attended the lessons of Stefano Grondona 1987-1992 in Venice, Riva del Garda and Pescara.
    He played in Italy and abroad : Florence (Sala dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio) , Rome , London, Athens , Patras , Tirana , Vicenza, Fermo , Macerata, Bari , L'Aquila, Lecce , Teramo, Camerino .. , As a soloist and with various orchestras ( " Collegium Musicum " , ICO -Bari International Orchestra of Italy, "Musica Judaica ," " Sounds of the South" ) .2013-14 - ISTA - UMBERTO CAFAGNA - foto2
    He has to his credit numerous recordings for radio and television RAI 1 History, RAI Radio 3 , Radio Vaticana.
    He works regularly with the ensemble "Musica Judaica " to the spread of the composers died in the Holocaust , affecting " Brundibar " by H. Krasa , "n " ( n factorial ) of the Czech composer Milan Knizak , and recently, for the Encyclopedia of Music concentration camp " KZ MUSIK " , solo and chamber works of Robert Emanuel Heilbut .
    He is the author of numerous solo and chamber music recordings including: " Lyricism and Search - 900 guitar ", " 20th century Guitar Sonatas ", " Music by Giuliani and Gragnani " with the great Italian violinist Franco Mezzena , with whom he also is affecting the complete works for violin and guitar by Mauro Giuliani .
    He has been invited to hold major concerts - event "theme " , dedicated to musicians , composers and great violin makers of the past ( Mauro Giuliani, Andres Segovia, Carlo Maria Giulini , Vicente Arias ) .
     As a result of a growing interest in the original sound , has in recent years abandoned the use of modern guitars in his recitals using instruments made by major manufacturers Iberians in the early years of the last century in the repertoires responsive to them .
    It ' a solo artist and founding member of the Orchestra of guitars " M. De Falla . " Winner in 1994 of the competition for examinations and qualifications in the conservatories of music, is a full professor at the Conservatory "N. Piccinni "in Bari . He plays a guitar Manuel Ramirez ( Madrid 1920) and a guitar David J. Rubio in 1973.

    Programa das I Xornadas de Pedagoxía que se van celebrar no Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo os días 26 e 27 de Setembro de 2014.
    As Xornadas estan dirixidas ao profesorado de música de primaria, secundaria e conservatorios de toda Galicia.
    Para os que non pertenzan á Xunta, en setembro se poderá recoller no Conservatorio unha invitación unha vez se sepan ás prazas disponibles e sóamente para as actividades que se desenrolen no Auditorio, dependendo do aforo.
    O proxecto desta actividade saíu do departamento de Pedagoxía do conservatorio e a organización corresponde ao Cefore de Vigo.
    Os profesores dependentes da Consellería poden inscribirse na actividade a través de https://www.edu.xunta.es/fprofe/
